François Sarano is a doctor in oceanography, and a professional diver. He traveled the seas for thirteen years aboard the ships of Commander Cousteau, of which he was the scientific adviser.

He has been pursuing a sperm whale study for more than two years. To get an idea of the size of these animals, just think of Moby Dick. But to understand the intelligence and kindness of these funny whales, you have to listen to François Sarano.

He swims with the sperm whales several times a year, off the coast of Mauritius. The stories he brings back from these moments are wonderful. Sperm whales emit very precise sounds to communicate. This independent scientist has analyzed, to try to understand, hundreds of hours of soundtracks.
