"El Pit”Is a deep gash in the jungle floor and this cenote is located three kilometers from Dos Ojos. The descent to reach the entrance is steep and narrow. So be particularly careful and do not hesitate to give a part to the keeper who will lower your equipment by a pulley.
You dive to the middle of the cenote through a shallow halocline towards the cloud of hydrogen sulfide located at least thirty meters away. As in Angelita, tree branches strangely protrude from the cloud.
But the diving doesn't stop there. Indeed, you will find stalactites of all shapes and sizes. Also remember to turn around to take advantage of the laser beams of the sunlight as it enters El Pit.
PLEASE NOTE: diving photographers and videographers must pay an entrance fee for shooting equipment which amounts to 300 pesos, the equivalent of 15 euros ...

Come on ... here are the answers:

- Coryphella pedata (Peduncle Coryphelle)
- Piseinotecus gabinieri (Faceline of Gabinière)
- Peltodoris atromaculata (Doris dalmatian)
It's not easy to identify slugs… especially since the names have changed very often over time… aaaahhh these scientists !!! LOL
