New in 2014! This year the Nature-Photo treasure hunt will run on 2 levels. A first "Explorer" for all divers and a second "Expert" for divers who want a more difficult version, with more complicated species to find or photograph.
From 1er May to 31 August 2014 participants will have to find and photograph, as and when their dives, forty species of plants and animals. The choice of species will be imposed by the organization.
All divers can participate, from the smallest level to the most experienced, it is enough that they have a camera or that we put one at their disposal.
This game can be played at any age. It is also open to disabled divers.
The passage of the participants in the professional diving clubs of the Atlantide Med Objectives Cities will win 4 "jokers" in order to advance more quickly towards the final and also to win many gifts.
Today we have the technical means to carry out this type of event via the internet.
Divers are increasingly equipped with digital underwater cameras.
A very important point, this game may be a motivation for young divers in approaching their training:
- By technical work on balancing and the gentle approach, to be able to photograph an animal.
- On underwater observation and knowledge of the marine environment: by knowing the species better, it is easier to find them.
Since 2013 this concept of underwater nature game is also developing abroad. An additional way to attract divers as well as non-divers to discover marine life.
The game takes place on the Mediterranean coast for four months. Registration for the game is free. It is done on the Objectif Atlantide Méditerranée website.
On the site of the game, the participant, once registered, can download a brochure presenting about forty photos of animal and plant species.
The participant will also be able to purchase the submersible version of the brochure at the diving centers partners of the operation. The list is indicated on the site.
During the dive, the participant tries to photograph as many species as possible on the plate to score as many points as possible.
Once the dive is over, the competitor selects his photos and places them on the Objectif Atlantide Méditerranée website.
At each photo recording, a ranking is made. The best ranking appear on the home page of the website.
All registrants who have submitted photos to the game site participate in a weekly prize draw.
In order to qualify for the final, participants must have posted on the site the photos of 40 species of the plate, as and when their dives.
They have four months to do it, from the May 1er to the August 31 2014.
A draw will take place in early September 2014.
The results are checked by a biologist to check if the photos made correspond to those requested. For example, there are several species of sea urchins. If the photographed sea urchin is not the one requested, it will not be taken into account.
