If you own a GOPRO, there's a good chance you've also purchased one of these self-filming mini telescopic poles. Some time ago, I also succumbed to temptation. Lightweight, transportable seemed like a good option. It was even mentioned that it was submersible ... yes but here it is ...
telescopic pole: small and not really “sturdy”
The opening and closing system is generally screwed and unscrewed which allows the size of the pole to be varied. Problem n ° 1: as soon as it has tasted the joys underwater, it seizes on all sides and it becomes more and more difficult to deploy and close it. Another major problem is that the camera is not fixed. It rests on a free axis… Try to take underwater images of the school of dolphins that you follow, aboard a boat… impossible! The camera “walks” along with the currents ...
As you can see, this product is certainly satisfactory for land use, but underwater… it's really too light. And yet, displayed between 30 and 40 euros we could expect better ...
Clearly disappointed, I decide to make a call to the friend Hubert de PLONGIMAGE in order to know if he would not have under the counter a pole worthy of the name and especially intended for an underwater use. Barely time to ask my question, he laughs… yes, he is like that Hubert… “Of course I have that! There are not 36 solutions, there is only one! This is the Quik Pod DSLR POV ULTRA. No sooner said than done! The pole is shipped immediately.
Quik Pod DSLR POV ULTRA
Upon receipt, we understand that we no longer box in the same category. Delivered in a blister pack, it is full of accessories and in particular the gopro adapter which on the 1st is not supplied and therefore increases the price of it by a good ten euros. But let's start from the beginning. Made of anodized aluminum, when closed it measures 45cm to 135cm when deployed. The opening-closing system is not a "screw-unscrewed" but quite simply a "classic" system which one finds on any good tripod ... Weighing 283 grams, it supports up to 2 kilos when it hand-held and 3,5 kilos in monopod position. Because, an additional advantage of this pole, you can use it with many devices other than your GOPRO.
In summary, this is the best perch we have tested. Whether on land or underwater, this accessory is flawless. In addition, the profusion of original accessories are a definite plus.

Not seen yet. But not sure to go given the comments. If you want a cool action movie there is “Largo Winch 2”. Certainly there is no diving, but good actors, action, and exotic landscapes.
