Only two weeks left before the opening of the Porte de Versailles diving fair: from January 11 to 13, it's time to meet the manufacturers and their novelties, to concoct your next trip by touring the TOs and offices tourism, to discover a host of diving centers from all over the world. But it is also the opportunity to enjoy a host of activities. There will be a lot to see, hear and do.
MORE THAN 400 EXHIBITORS
Hélène de Tayrac, a few days away from the show now, has a global vision of its fifteenth edition: “and what is very strong this year, she says, is this dynamism, this excitement. There is a general movement to promote diving ”. The show, with more than 400 exhibitors, is packed. An exception among the events held at Porte de Versailles. And if the regulars are still present, the 2013 edition promises something new.
NEW DESTINATIONS
If the Seychelles will be particularly highlighted, other lesser-known countries have also chosen to communicate on diving. “Destinations such as Jordan, the Azores and Japan,” continues the organizer, “have a stand for the first time this year. »For the diver, this will be the opportunity to discover countries that are not yet present in the catalog pages. Note that footballer Christian Karembeu will also make his appearance to represent New Caledonia on Friday January 11 from 16 p.m. to 17 p.m. in the screening room.
AROUND THE SNOW CHAMPIONS
And the choice of the theme of the year should also allow visitors to experience strong moments: around the greatest freediving champions, Pierre Frolla, Guillaume Néry, Aurore Asso, Stéphane Mifsud, but also Angela Bandini ... Conferences, baptisms, training sessions, the big names in the discipline will be there, "available, humble, and full of ideas to share their passion", adds Hélène de Tayrac. And for another vision of freediving, apart from any performance, remember that snorkeling is also in the spotlight this year.
UNDER THE SIGN OF PASSION AND EXCHANGE
The entertainment schedule is busy! Conferences, with, as Hélène reminds us, "people who come from very far to share their passion", screenings, varied activities including several times a day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, underwater investigation reconstructions carried out by the gendarmerie , presentation of new technologies with Suboceana, exhibitions…. And beyond the activities offered to the public, the show, according to Hélène, will also be particularly this year a melting pot for professionals: “There are links that are forged, connections that are made between exhibitors, we are in a big dynamism this year!
