Aqua Lung is voluntarily recalling the SureLock II ballast pocket handles. The SureLock II system is a mechanical ballast release system which has been fitted to most Aqua Lung BCs since the early 2009 years. Aqua Lung has a problem with the rubber handle that allows the SureLock II pocket to be removed; It dissociates from its plastic base. If this occurs during a dive, the ballast pocket remains in its housing. We were not informed of such a diving situation and no damage was reported. However Aqua Lung believes that a product recall is a safe and prudent attitude.
On the new handle (on the right) a rubber thickness is visible
on the inside of the handle.
Aqua Lung has modified the handle to strengthen it. The revised handle is easily recognizable, a thick rubber band is visible at the base of the handle.
SOLUTION
Consumers should immediately stop using life jackets equipped with the Sure Lock II system. Pockets should be brought to an Aqua Lung dealer. He will be able to replace the handle on site in a few moments. The change of handle is done within the framework of the guarantee, it is a completely free operation.

I am really pleased to read your encouragement to all. It feels good.
Especially since I also have to get used to the phases of calm. This calm where nothing happens because you have already drawn, gleaned all the information necessary for the preparation of your project.
I am there this week and already one last week.
So I occupy my time in physical preparation and readings. The CREPS selection week will take place on November 12. In the program :
1500m run between 6 and 10min (selective scale). I am at 6min30sec
200m PMT, mannequin at 6m, towing over 100m in - 8min. I am at 7min50sec.
Evaluation at sea on different exercises (rescues, dive guide, organization of a dive)
Regulatory test
Oral on my project
This step is crucial to be part of the 20 interns next year.
The dates of the Antibes CREPS are from January 28, 2013 to October 31, 2013 (700h CREPS, 500h business).
To participate in this selection, you must be minimum N3, have the certificate PSE1, + 100 dives
To add insult to injury, I am a first aid instructor, but not recognized in France, so I have to take PSE1 (1 week at the end of October). It is not very expensive and I was able to have it financed by my DIF with my current employer (I am still on notice not completed).
Financially, I planned a budget of 15000 EUR broken down as follows:
60% CREPS educational cost,
15% CREPS hosting,
25% Airplane A / R every week
I have so far envisioned the worst possible situation that I will have to take charge of. But there are aids for which I will have information later (around December).
I hope I have answered some of your questions about my project
A + according to this adventure and your questions
