More than 1000 spectators joined Neuchâtel last weekend to participate in the tenth edition of Festisub: and this year again, the Swiss Festival has reserved a special welcome for children. Octopuses and sharks floated above the spectators, the storyteller Alain Plas embarked them in the adventures of Chouchou the little pebble, and the music of Bernard Abeille bewitched them ...
A REAL PLACE FOR CHILDREN
The organizers of Festisub, who always reserve Saturday afternoons for a more particularly family audience, by adapting the programming to children, had decided to make this year an additional surprise to all those who had come: free access to the festival. Since it is on them, and no longer on us, that the preservation of our oceans will soon depend, the organizers are banking on our “future generations”.
BERNARD ABEILLE IN SHOW
Bernard Abeille is a musician. And those who attend the Festival of Underwater Image have undoubtedly had the opportunity to discover his show, Whales and Bass, where he mixes music and underwater images for an enchanting journey in the world of whales. He knew, only with the help of his double bass, to recreate their songs, and the similarity is disturbing. And he has, as he has shown in Neuchâtel, the talent to make our children dream again and again, to take them away, to make them laugh too, as when he evokes with them in music all the animals that they claim.
ALAIN PLAS AND THE MARINE SANCTUARY
Author of children's books, but also a true storyteller, Alain Plas led the little ones in the footsteps of “Chouchou the little stone and the Marine Sanctuary”. From the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco to the marble mountains of Carrara, passing by the Golden Islands, Corsica and the Island of Elba, Chouchou introduced them to dolphins, whales, and other inhabitants of the underwater world through the whole Mediterranean. Chouchou, hero of a series of books dedicated to children from 4 years old, but also of audiovisual shows like the one presented at Festisub, stages a small pebble that explores in each of his adventures everyone from water and of the environment. The books (signed if you wish) can be ordered directly on the Alain Plas website, http://www.lesmotsdalain.com
COMPETITION & SPECIAL GUESTS
The public who came to attend the screenings also had the pleasure of meeting some big names in the industry, with this year Laurent Ballesta as a distinguished guest, but also Daniel Auclair and Danny Van Belle. Three categories of photos were awarded this year: Duo Mer, Duo Eau Douce, and Humoristique. And for this last category, for which the photographers had to present two funny pictures related to water, the jury was made up of children.

Hello
I also did this superb cruise on this magnificent L'Exocet boat last April. The weather conditions were great. Getting equipped while listening to music, it was great as well as the little smoothie after diving to rehydrate! I saw superb wrecks, drop offs very rich in flora and fauna. Gray sharks and foxes on the Brothers, meeting with dolphins, turtles and very curious napoleons filled me with joy. In the evening, the aperitifs between divers were nice and we were lucky to have Christophe who set the mood for us by making us dance on Stromaé! We also had a professional cameraman Yves who sent us to all the divers on the boat the films he shot during the cruise, adorable! Moreover, our arrival at the port of Hurgada was noticed: everyone was dancing on ”so we dance”!!! The crew and especially the instructors Jean-Michel and Gaby were very professional, we felt good framed. In short, if I come back for a diving cruise, it will be on the Exocet, that's for sure!
