In his December 28 issue, the Figaro Magazine devotes 7 and a half pages to the snorkeling course to meet sharks organized by Pierre Frolla in collaboration with Blue Wilderness in South Africa. We show in pictures different stages of the course, from ventilation exercises to the relaxation session and static apnea courses to the deep dive in the middle of a dozen limbatus on the Aliwal Shoal site off the south coast of the Kwazulu-Natal.
The final objective is to demonstrate that the fear of sharks can be overcome, to help get the message across on the need to protect sharks… and that freediving brings a plus (control, appeasement) to the experience. The article is essentially based on the account of the experience and feelings… of a novice.
