Any diving enthusiast is first and foremost a nature lover. But some components of sports equipment are not always “Eco-responsible”. One of many: the combination that is composed of environmentally harmful materials. But it's over soon.
To reduce the amount of neoprene, a harmful material but essential to the realization of the classic combinations, Patagonia worked for 4 years with Yulex, an Arizona-based company that operates natural rubber produced by the guayule, a small plant from Mexico. Together, they made a habit made up of 60% of biodegradable materials and 40% of classic Neiprene. The result is surprising and sticks just as much to the skin of the divers.
Good news for our land!
