At the heart of the Communication / Marketing DepartmentAQUA LUNG, the cell Dream Lab is a design research entity, created by the Designer Guillaume Binard and developed by the new Director Communication / Marketing, Frédérique Gouin.
We went to meet them to understand their goals.
OCEANWINGS: The idea
“The wing suit, born from parachuting, has become a sort of icon of our modern societies, a symbol of ultimate freedom, which crystallizes one of man's oldest dreams: to fly.
We used this icon to convey to as many people as possible the idea that diving under the sea is quite simply a flight in its own right.
This combination also symbolizes our ability to adapt to new environments by studying and respecting the living beings around us (mimicry). By taking inspiration from their appearance, we are supporting the quest to one day be able to cohabit with them. ”

OCEANWINGS: The message
This film deals with the power of sensations and emotions specific to underwater activities. Through a winged suit called "Oceanwings", the analogy between aerial and aquatic flight illustrates this unique three-dimensional sensation encountered by the underwater man.
However, this message is not only for divers. It aims to explain to non-divers how underwater activities are charged with emotions and thrills.
By conveying these images, AQUA LUNG arouses an interest, for a novice public, to discover the original nature of the oceans, their magic, their mystery, their beauty ...
OCEANWINGS: The combination
Prototypes in smooth neoprene and lycra.
Adaptation of the wings of aerial flight to the aquatic environment with distribution and integration of the load, separation of the limbs and size of the wings, release of the limbs.
