REMINDER: SURLOCK II

Aqua Lung is voluntarily recalling all rubber handles from the pockets SureLock II. SureLock II is a mechanical ballast release system found on the most Aqua Lung vests since 2009. Whether you have the original rubber grips or the handles modified during a previous recall, Aqua Lung asks you to replace with the latest generation of handles referenced 12396.

Aqua Lung has doubts about the longevity of its two models of rubber grips.

Cracks, tears or ruptures can cause dislocation of the

handle. If this happens during a dive, the ballast pocket will remain engaged in its housing. Even if we were not informed of such a diving situation and that none damage has been reported, Aqua Lung considers this recall to be the wisest and most safer of decisions. The new generation of handles no longer uses rubber, it is stronger and safer.

Solution:

Consumers should immediately stop using their vest with a SureLock II system with rubber handles. Pockets must be brought to an aqua Lung dealer. he will be able to replace the handle on site in a matter of moments. The handle change is done under warranty, it's completely free.
