The designer Adam Wendel has just presented a futuristic prototype that should transform the way divers see, hear and breathe in the depths: they will now really be an integral part of what surrounds them.
With “Immersed Senses” - The Immersed Senses - a big step forward could be taken, revolutionizing the future of diving and underwater explorations. Equipped with an LED projector that allows you to observe the dark depths of the ocean, the mask also has a large “OLED” glazed area that offers a panoramic view of the environment. In addition, the air circulates freely throughout the helmet, we breathe there as on the surface, without any additional device.
“OLED” is an interactive screen allowing to consult the underwater charts of a GPS which allows the diver to navigate with precision. The “OLED” also includes software that identifies all species of fish, corals and other underwater creatures living in the depths and likely to be encountered. Thanks to “Immersed Senses”, the encounter with the underwater world is now interactive. In addition, the screen provides important information, such as the mask's oxygen toxicity level, that of nitrogen and up to body temperature, for perfect diver safety.
In haptic glass *, the concept of the device is based on the most advanced technology. A clear optical window blocks water molecules. Underwater, sound travels six times faster than on land, the haptic glass interprets the origin of sound and indicates its source and direction on the OLED screen.
Any risk of water penetration is eliminated thanks to a silicone liner which allows the mask to adhere to the diver's skin. The flexibility of the silicone allows it to move without hindrance. The orange side panels participate in the internal circulation of oxygen. The back of the mask has an electrolytic “reactor” that extracts oxygen from the salt water. Oxygen, now breathable, circulates throughout the helmet… a revolutionary experience of breathing underwater !!!
“Immersed Senses” works with a battery which, by a centrifugal mechanism, extracts oxygen from seawater, which initiates electrolysis. Salt water arrives in a tank which produces hydrogen. The salt water is then crossed by an anode and a cathode, positive and negative, which generates breathable oxygen. Two internal devices help oxygen flow to the diver's nose and mouth.
The diver inhales oxygen and exhales carbon dioxide out of the helmet. The battery and stored hydrogen can allow dives of up to eight hours. The Immersed Senses revolutionizes the way humans can breathe underwater and interact, thanks to this OLED material that offers a panoramic view of the depths of the sea.

go play the killjoy… come on… uh the octopus where is it…?
Dear Christophe,
The designer speaks of Revolution with a capital “R” !!! Not with a big “O”…
As you all understood correctly, this sublime object is a work sanctioning the end of the design studies of Adam Wendel. Its only object is to make us dream !!! GOOD DIVES TO ALL OF YOU !!!
So we imagine at 60m in the air …… LOL
