Guy Teissier, UMP deputy-mayor and president of the Public Interest Group (GIP Calanques), announced during the ceremony of dispersing the ashes of Albert Falco that a protected maritime area of the Calanques National Park will bear the name of the Captain most famous in the world.
In this case, the non-sampling zone (ZNP) located at a place called “calanque de la Loude” at the end of that of Sormiou. This 6-hectare area to which Falco has constantly drawn the attention of the park's designers, will now be identified as such in all documents distributed to the public. An administrative procedure has also just been initiated by the GIP so that this ZNP Albert Falco also appears on future nautical charts published by SHOM: undoubtedly the most beautiful way for “Bébert” to pass to posterity.
