Entrusted to directors Sébastien THIEBOT and Pierre VIVET of Aquasapiens (Grand Prix Rolex 2010 at the Toulon Maritime Film Festival and Palme d'or 2009 short film category at the World Underwater Image Festival), the film is currently in production. full shoot. Although most of the funding has been completed, some subsidies are still missing to improve the graphic design of the clip, and to give a more fun image to the slogan “Me, I dive to the West!”. DIVERSITY OF THE WEST

Wealth and diversity, from the wrecks of the two wars to the kelp fields, depending on the tides of the Atlantic Ocean and the English Channel, including quarry diving or underwater hikes in the shallows, that's what the members of "Me, I dive to the West" want to discover. After a first clip mainly shot in Brittany, the new film will present all of these activities, this time particularly highlighting the Pays de la Loire region. Their goal, to bring to light original and practically unknown sites, because indeed, they say, “who really knows what is hidden off Nantes, in a freshwater quarry in Angers…? "

THREE DAYS OF TURNING

The production required three days of filming, at sea, in a freshwater quarry and in a swimming pool where the directors follow underwater sports practitioners in their activities. And in particular to the discovery of gigantic wrecks dating from the First and the Second World War, some of which are over one hundred meters long, still unknown to the general public but very popular with divers from the West.

The film will be officially presented at the Salon Nautique, then at the Salon de la Plongée in January, where for the second consecutive year a stand will bring together the diving centers of Brittany and Pays de la Loire under the same banner.
