How many exhibitors are there at the show this year?
How many were there in 2010?
In 2010 we had around 400 exhibitors. This year we know that there are more of them without having an exact figure since all the co-exhibitors have not yet been registered! This has led us to expand the exhibition area by 3000 m², which is almost 25% more than last year.
What are the highlights of the Show this year?
Last year we experienced significant visitor growth (+ 20%). But this year again, we are not looking to fill up, but to satisfy the greatest number.
One of the strong points of the 2011 edition is the real involvement of Egypt, a destination in the spotlight. We have also developed the conferences and screenings, which were very successful last year, while varying the themes. We have also improved comfort at reception, restructuring of the hall, in the aisles and in traffic flows, etc.
As for the exhibitors, many are new to present their activities / events and all are even more participatory. And then the past year was very popular, so we should not change everything.

What strategies are in place to reach non-divers and make them discover a new world?
Each year we have about 15% of non-diving visitors; we have a press relations agency which aims, among other things, to develop our communication towards the “mainstream” media; posting for a month on the Paris ring road, including works council reviews and other subscriber newspapers, and we participate in communications that exhibitors can develop.
But where we are the most “driving force” in the field of communication towards non-divers, it is by participating very actively in the operations carried out in this direction with the actors of the diving community. This is how we were able to have the "Who Are You Diver?" », The diving operation under the Eiffel Tower, etc ... Regarding the number of baptisms, we carry out on average more than a hundred per day. Here too, in this area, we aim for quality.

Survive the living room
A trade show is always both a good time and a test… here are some tips to avoid drowning yourself in the mass of exhibitors, and find what you are looking for.
- Whether you are a professional looking for new contacts or a simple visitor, ask yourself what you want to find: choose and book a trip, test your new regulator, find partners to create your future diving club ... You will thus avoid dispersing yourself and not having, in the end, done what you had planned. Remember that if there are several hundred exhibitors, you will not be able to see everything.
- This is advice that may seem superfluous, but put on properly, wear light and comfortable clothes, avoid the oversized coat that you won't know what to do with unless you keep it on and feel like you are wearing it. having spent the afternoon in the sauna. It's hot in the living rooms.
- Study the program of conferences and activities offered, and schedule your visit. You will be delighted that you went there for something specific, which was particularly important to you.
- Do not forget to bring a light bag, and almost empty except for business cards if you intend to make professional meetings. This will allow you to stuff all the docs, business cards, that you have collected, without appearing to come out of the supermarket, plastic bags hanging from the arms. Little sexy.
- If you hope to find old acquaintances, stall a meeting point, it will save you from spending hours walking in circles looking for the one you were hoping to see.
