My first bubble
In Martinique, in January 2006. I have always dreamed of scuba diving, but the opportunity never presented itself. It was my wife who pushed me to try, and when I found myself underwater breathing without having to go back up to find my air, that I took the time to discover a magical environment, it was the revelation. Originally from Marseille, I have always taken advantage of the sea, and practiced freediving and swimming. But it was really extraordinary! And since then, I have continued to deepen my theoretical and practical knowledge of diving, until passing my 3-star CMAS instructor and my IDC Staff Padi. But the more I advance, the more I have the impression of discovering things: this is also the magic of diving ...
My most beautiful animal encounter
In the Dominican Republic, I had the privilege of diving for a whole week to the song of the whales, but without being able to see the slightest dewlap. The day before my departure, it was the revelation: we came across a whale and its calf on our return from a dive. A moment out of time, where the majesty of Mother Nature left me with lasting memories. 20 minutes spent with the mother and her baby, until the moment she put an end to this interview, leaving us with stars in our eyes and memories in our heads.
My rant
I would have a lot of them, but man's lack of awareness in the face of the progressive destruction of the underwater world (overfishing, pollution, destruction of the seabed, etc.) is the first point that comes to mind.
The second rant relates to the fact that from the moment some individuals find themselves underwater with bottles, they lose three-quarters of their IQ: who caresses a moray eel, who catches a turtle for the photo, being dragged by a shark, etc.
And finally, a last rant in the face of the denial of the danger of certain divers, who do not hesitate to dive to -70, even -80 meters in the air and without supervision. We are surprised that there are accidents after ...

My little corner of paradise
The sun in winter, an azure ocean, a diving spot to discover… I'm not difficult, eh?
My diver's dream
Dive with the great white shark.
My model
I have several, but I think that Ben Portnoy (Course Director Padi platinum) and Richard Vial (BEES 2) are the two divers who have marked me the most. What impresses me is not the depth record or the underwater exploits: it is rather an irreproachable technique, a solid experience and an unfailing humility. Well, these two divers are of that caliber.
My next dives
Guadeloupe in February, Egypt or Oman next year. Not to mention the spots near my home (I'm lucky to live in Nice).
My news
The publication of the book “Stress management and aquaphobia by TCC - The contribution of scuba diving”, published by Mon Petit Éditeur.
The Diving Show asked me to give a conference on this theme on January 16, 2011 (conference followed by a signing session), I will be delighted to meet the readers of the Mag!
