Bonsoir
I just saw a report on France 5 on the Maldives. This name makes dream all the divers that we are and the desire to go to soak the fins.
But the flip side of the postcard is the problem of garbage that is now being disposed of on a Thilafushi island that serves as an open dump - 150 tons of garbage of all kinds are dumped every day on this growing island. little on waste (1m2 / day) and a certain part finished at the bottom of the lagoon - No government program for the management of this waste is in place and of course no selective sorting is organized or planned - A company begins to recover metal waste and a little plastics but this is still marginal - This island is called the time bomb of the Indian Ocean and this is becoming worrying and very unfortunate
Hoping that awareness will allow Maldivians to quickly find a solution to prevent the ocean from being polluted
See you
