There is a little adventure in scuba diving that often stings our imagination. Depending on the character, at the beginning you are sometimes rather careful (you always will be!) And you don't necessarily dare to organize your dives yourself. Then with the experience one day one surprises oneself not to do more than that ...
In diving, there are also genres. When you know nothing about it or not, unless you have a very adventurous spirit of nature (it's more common than you think), you go towards learning from people who know. It's a wise decision and it allows you to progress much faster safely. Once you have become aware of all the necessities of the dives and have gained experience, sometimes comes the day when you wish to launch yourself, on familiar sites or in circumstances where "It feels good". We equip ourselves at the bottom of the truck, or maybe we have already crossed the stage of our own boat. Anyway, we evaluated, planned, and finally took responsibility. It is a paradigm that opens an ultimate freedom. We are the masters of the mooooonde!
Of course, this is only possible in very special circumstances where all the necessary material and skills are available. If you're traveling with little equipment, or if you're dealing with unfamiliar dive conditions, then it's better to go back to the advice of local organizers.
In a few years, I personally pushed this little game far enough to become a scuba diving instructor. If I won the freedom (and the responsibility that goes with it) to organize any dive or training within the limits of my amenities, I also understood the role of "diving host". Ocean Planet is fully equipped for diving and coastal navigation and there is several diving equipment available for diving in summer and winter. One wonders if the game is really worth the candle? The answer that comes to my mind is that even if 36 (candles) were needed, I will still invest in them !!!
