“Some of the more than 1 tonnes of chemical weapons in Syria's arsenal will be destroyed at sea on a US-owned ship,” the OPCW announced on Saturday (November 000th). "The Director General [of the OPCW] has indicated that [chemical weapons] neutralization operations will be carried out at sea on a United States vessel using the technique of hydrolysis", said the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), headquartered in The Hague, in a communicated. "A vessel is currently being modified to be able to accommodate operations and support OPCW verification operations" , added the organization.
Syria's most dangerous weapons must be transported out of the country by December 31, under an agreement by the OPCW's executive council in mid-November, which then adopted a roadmap on destroying the Syrian Arab Republic. Syrian chemical arsenal by mid-2014, including a detailed plan of possible methods of destroying these weapons on land or at sea.
But, despite the consensus on the destruction of the chemical arsenal outside Syria, no country has so far accepted that it is carried out on its soil. The majority of other chemical weapons and precursors in the composition of toxic products, with the exception of isopropanol, which can be used in the manufacture of sarin, must be withdrawn from the country by February 5, 2014. The facilities of production declared by the regime will be destroyed between Dec. 15 and March 15, 2014, according to the OPCW.
TWENTY CANDIDATE COMPANIES
The OPCW, which oversees the operation, a week ago invited companies in the sector to show their interest in the destruction of nearly 800 tonnes of chemical agents and 7,7 million liters of residue. The deadline was set for Friday. About twenty companies applied, we learned on Friday from sources close to the OPCW.
The names of the companies that came forward were not disclosed. Finland's state-owned company Ekokem is one of them, however, CEO Timo Piekkari said. "We have expressed our interest in some of the substances that appear on the list (…) and which are quite similar to what we deal with regularly", did he declare.
After a series of demonstrations, Albania, requested by the United States, refused in mid-November that operations to destroy these chemical weapons take place on its territory. ”

Too bad to even serve the cause!
and why not in the usa? if they are so strong
We can understand that we have to destroy our filth, again we should not have made it, but to put it in the ocean we think we are dreaming - Once again the sea serves as a giant dumping ground and everyone finds that's normal - Not cool
