The Philippines has long been known to macro enthusiasts as one of those sites in the world where biodiversity offers every diver the opportunity to discover rare and endemic species.
Panglao and its renowned sites are endowed, as elsewhere in the Philippines, with an impressive biodiversity.
This is the subject of studies by the University of Cebu in the Philippines and we associate ourselves with these by working jointly with its marine biologists on the census and the inventory of the species encountered on the dive sites of Panglao, Balicasag, Pamilacan and Cabilao.
Divers friends: you have had the chance to dive on these sites and have some “original” pictures (toad fish, nudibranchs, leaf fish, ghost fish, etc.).
We are currently preparing an identification book for local species and are asking for your collaboration. Your best shots will be displayed during the “Panglao Dive Fiesta” which will take place from June 12 to 15 and the 2 best shots elected by our jury of professionals will win a package of 3 days of diving on the sites of Panglao and Balicasag (value 150 euros) to be used in 2014 or 2015.
Your photos will also be used (with your name) for this beautiful project of creating the Bohol Species Identification Guide.

To know all the same that very many Japanese are opposed to the massacres; but prisoners of government pressure cannot say anything about fears of reprisals… Not everyone consume the meat of dolphins and whales because you need to have a well-stocked wallet. It is unacceptable that the Japanese government releases more than 20 euros to block the defenders of whales, thus allowing them to hunt illegally in this sanctuary… During this time many victims have lost everything in this terrible disaster, it is a horror !
