I don't quite agree with Aurélie on the fact that we are throwing meat into the sea
It has always existed and even in larger quantities. whole dead animals were also dumped during the transport of live meat. All the waste on board was thrown into the water. I know something about it when the first diver with André Galerne in the Sea of Cortes in 1954 we embarked aboard the Guaymense, a 50 M ship, for a film campaign on the camarones (Gambas)
The cook threw everything in the stern and the sharks followed. Needless to say that at this time when no one dived alongside these animals, this kind of appetizer worried me greatly.
Surprised when we got into the water during a station they were no longer there.
Force-fed, no doubt! This is the only explanation, although simplistic certainly, that we had found.
For the rest of what Aurélie says I agree adding that the number of divers and swimmers has greatly increased, sharks having nothing to eat because of overfishing, we are the ones on the menu !!!
Funny thing!
