H2O Expedition is back Galapagos and as in the two cruises 2009, the magic of the place operated on all participants. It's impossible to remain insensitive to this extraordinary archipelago where life is everywhere ...
Both on the volcanic islands that are home to endemic birds, sea lions, iguanas and other reptiles; only diving where we could observe a rich and dense fauna with schools of fish (jacks, surgeons ...), rays eagles, hammers (which this year unfortunately were deeper and therefore less than in 2009) , turtles, the Pacific hippocampus, and the gigantic whale shark. Not to mention the funny sea lions ...
As for each Expedition, we propose a terrestrial extension to discover the peoples, customs and landscapes of the country that welcomes us. Last year we went to the Andes. This year we stayed in the heart of the Amazon forest in the Cuyabeno Reserve.
The journey from Quito by plane, bus and pirogue was a total immersion in this wild nature teeming with life. From the first hours of the canoe that lead us to the Tapir Lodge, we had the joy of observing 5 of the 11 species of monkeys living in this reserve, crossing the river by jumping from branch to branch of the Ceiba (a giant tree, majestic and sacred to the Siona-Secoya tribes) and dozens of endemic bird species. During 4 days, during forest hikes and canoe trips, the discoveries were rich: spiders, lemon-flavored ants, beetles, colorful birds including the strange hoatzin, caimans and even the shy pink dolphin. We also tried our hand at piranha fishing and yam bread making. We had the moving and intimidating meeting of the shaman who made us understand the full value of the Amazon rainforest and its plants with proven medicinal properties. Our guide Vénitio, quickly nicknamed “wikipedia” as his knowledge and enthusiasm impressed us, left nothing to chance to make us love his magnificent country and make our end of the trip unforgettable.
Our next expedition starts on the 25 June for South Africa, with a thrilling dive to meet the GREAT SHARK WHITE (no cage) and safari in the Kruger Park ... We will not miss our return to share our feelings and this adventure in pictures.

I share with you these adventures on form and on the bottom. Getting to know people in their surroundings helps to better understand the cultures around us and the treasures protected in their caskets.
Congratulations to the entire H²O team and to the happy participants
