@Ozi: Hello, still in “curious” mode… It's funny, because for Lokazionel ”, the magazine of 3D universes, they asked me for a definition of“ bathymetry ”and“ dive computer ”, Mesh not asking no problem with these Geek-Nerds (I let you search the Internet for the definition of these two) that we are ...
Soss .. a Mesh is a three-dimensional object made up of polygons. This is a fairly “standard” way of programming an object in 3D, except that online universes (websites where you walk in 3D in real time, or metaverse) did not use this technology at the beginning, because it is very resource intensive and it would have been impossible to do the calculations instantly.
Over time, as technology evolves, it is now possible to import “light” Mesh objects, their advantage being that they have a thinner end, and that they are easier to manufacture, even free software being very widespread… Voila voila…
Hello Patricia. It is the ISOTTA housing, the Wide Angle and the Achromatic Macro Saga that explode the price. If you are satisfied with the CANON G16 with the box making 40 m and the lighthouse (still essential), you get by at a good price for an excellent material.
uhhhhhhhhhhh! 1400 € the box and the device, even qd! it's still a bit expensive for me… But thank you for this information that I keep preciously, you never know !!
I allow myself to come back to you. You must add a red filter ?? How powerful should an STP torch be? I don't know anything about it ... sorry ...
Is it possible to work in “Program” on this device… I absolutely do not see any manual adjustments being made while diving. Thank you in advance for your help…
Hi Patricia. The diving light must absolutely have a wide angle of illumination: 120 ° WITHOUT hot point, ie no point illuminated more strongly in the center of the beam. The sub dragon is perfect. For the power, do not worry ... For the camera, this one can do everything 🙂 Santa Claus has received your order? Happy Holidays 😉
It seems to me that to start, a lighthouse is ideal. You see the colors during your exploit, and if you want to fix an image you just have to trigger. Using a flash (rather 2 by the way) takes a lot more work.
To diversify a bit, I also found this site http://www.photoplongee.fr and I spent some shopping at home (friendly and knowledgeable about their products). Otherwise for Patricia, on Amazon you have the 2 for 650 € (367 € device and wheelbarrows + box barrel 282 € and wheelbarrows!)
@Patricia: At Photoplongée the box is not that of Canon it is Fantasea and it is in aluminum (ok up to 60m). Pr Amazone the parcel return policy in case of pb is free, you send an email, you print the label and you take it to the post office, the port is taken care of, it makes things easier.
Thank you Alain for your answer! In fact I hesitate to have my Olympus touch GT 810 repaired because I have equipped it with a caison waterproof to 60 m (approximately 300E) and a red filter .. and putting all this in the trash makes me bitch . But since I have no idea of the cost of the repair ... in short, I'm going in circles !! I note the reference of the torch!
Hello Yves, in fact I would like to be able to take photos and films… and I tell myself that with a torch for films, I could also use it to take pictures ..
But it may be nonsense.
Sorry, I'm a baby diver and a beginner in underwater photo !!
I note all the references and I will try to make up my mind quickly because February flow I return to Mexico and I would like to immortalize some beautiful diving moments!
Hi Patricia. “A beacon for films, I could also use it to take pictures” exactly! … And in addition, for the same price, in explo (just for a walk, without manipulating your camera) you take full advantage of the wonderful underwater colors 😉

I am looking for one too… but this one is way over my budget. It is only for occasional dives ...

Thanks Alain! It is true that a good diving torch is very nice to go and see under the rocks, and in the cenotes it is really a plus!
