ADVERTORIAL EDITORIAL
From macro to large pelagic
Do not fight, there is something for everyone! Macro enthusiasts and pelagic fans. The cruise starts on Cabilao, Balicasag and Panglao. It is a profusion of nembrotha of all kinds, these dark green nudibranchs with light green or red dots. Bubble corals are home to orang-utan crabs, turtles take off lazily on our approach.
Fluorescent squid and sardine balls
When diving at night, you are almost sure to find bobtail squids, these tiny fluorescent-colored squids that try to hide in the sand by bringing the grains of sand on them with their tiny tentacles ... the rare is also present with dragonets and pegasus. Nitrox allows us to optimize our dives at a rate of 3 to 4 per day, it's more comfort! On Moalboal, scintillating sardine balls with Chinese shadow, the silhouette of a fisherman on his outrigger boat.
A UNESCO World Heritage Park
The navigation takes us to Tubbataha, a marine park classified as World Heritage by Unesco. Between twelve and six o'clock at sea, it's a bit of a lottery, but the time passes pleasantly on the Philippine Siren: a nap in the air-conditioned cabins, or a video projection in the large square that remains open to the open air to avoid the unpleasant "hot and cold"! We nibble a snack, we use an espresso, we bronze up there, or we get massaged by Maureen who always has a hyper-booked schedule! The most studious are immersed in the books devoted to the underwater fauna of the region.
Tuna and whale shark
But it is already time to restore the fins in this marine sanctuary and lovers of big hands rub their hands: teas dog teeth, schools of trevallies ... what not big enough? Wait, it happens! White and black tip sharks, silky, gray. Even bigger? Whale shark that slowly comes out of the depths ... well, slowly ... you have to rock hard to stay at your side!
Hammerheads Bench
Some mornings, the bell rings early, but it is for the good cause: after ten to fifteen minutes of immersion, a big hammer appears in the blue, a solitary mokaran, who deigns to come to see us. The next morning, it is a small bench of about fifteen hammers which appears very quickly. We stay with them for almost half an hour, until we take the maximum level compatible with our reserve in the bottle. This graceful ballet marks our last day underwater, before heading to Puerto Princesa. Jimmy the chef is unleashed for our last dinner, a real clown who stages the presentation of dishes. "And what are you waiting for? Well, come back!
