The city of Cassis is located about 20 km east of Marseille. And we must admit, this seaside town is better known for its creeks, its port, its ice creams and its “chic” aperitifs than for snorkeling.
Upon our arrival, we discover the islet of entertainment and a very active Beuchat company. Moreover, a “tackle” of neo-apneists cut us off to reach the snorkeling initiation spot.
The organizers have erected the tents constituting the village a few tens of meters away. There are about twenty of them and the atmosphere is rather festive and relaxed. We must admit that being in the open air at the edge of the big blue is an essential asset. The exhibitors with whom we exchanged seem all won over and confirm that they will be present next year.
A sacred skewer of people
Strolling between the stands or basking in the sun between two dedications, you could meet: Guillaume Néry, Julie Gautier, Francine Kreiss, Stéphane Mifsud, Christian Maldamé, Morgan Bourc'his, Alice Modolo, Frédéric Lemaître, Bernard Chabannes, Jean-Michel Pradon , Pierre Frolla, Bernard Salvatori, Daniel Gospic, Pierre Roy, Jeremy Duponchel, Sylvain Pioch, Pascal Catry.
The mistral was also conquered since Sunday early in the morning, it took a few tents… The organizers, concerned about everyone's safety, decided to cancel this second day.
Clearly a very good initiative that deserves to be supported.
And besides, if Jean Attard offers it to us, we will be there next year 😉
