The Great South Maldivian… .the big dream of every diver!
OK Maldives was one of the first to cross in his waters and
continues since near 20 years now.
During our 1es cruises in the south the atolls were closed to tourist navigation and we had to
ask for specific authorizations and a few difficult to obtain;
we had to use our enthusiasm and all our insight for the
obtain and despite this, it happened to us to be expected at the exit of
water by the maritime guards and “invited” to the elected representatives of the villages to
show "white paw". During these many years we have
listed totally untouched dive sites.
When we stopped on the fishing islands, we
were “curiosities” with our white skin and light eyes. And even
our sailors could not always understand the language of the natives.
We invite you to refer to Thor Heyerdahl's book “The Mystery of
Maldives ”Ed Albin Michel)
Since then, the
tourism having greatly developed in the Maldives, the Great South has opened up;
it is easily accessible, which does not detract from its interest: we have
lasting memories and will be happy to share new ones with
you
To do this, OK MALDIVES planned 7
cruises ranging from 12 to 20 nights in February and March which is the period
optimal for these long navigations
