ENVIRONMENT NEWS - Three areas of the North Province of Caledonia have just been officially inaugurated as Marine Protected Areas. The goal is on the one hand to preserve an exceptional underwater environment, but also to support the Kanak culture, still widely established in this region of New Caledonia. The seabed shelters protected species but known to many divers, like the green turtle, but also much rarer animals, like the pygmy seahorse, which measures no more than two centimeters.

Two of these MPAs are located in Hienghène. One concerns Hienga islet and this is where we develop snorkeling (http://photosub.babou-plongee.com/inauguration-a-l-ilot-hienga-a796877) The second is located at Doïman reef. It is a very remote “taboo” reef on which the customaries have given us the opportunity to dive.
Our diving center is part of the co-management committee of these two MPAs ;-))

Hello,
I just read all of your comments on the film. Very interesting. With the trailer, I did indeed have the feeling that it was a disaster movie: I'm not a big fan, just like the 2012 movie.
Well if not, I have a film proposal for you: Last night. I won't say it's a comedy like Rien à Déclarer (which doesn't appeal to me) but I really liked it. There are some very good actors. This is not a head-turner film, rather easy and entertaining. We can stop at the 1st degree as always but it also allows a real debate on the subject: from when / what act, the man or the woman cheats on the other? I went there with a friend, as a couple, we didn't have the same vision and we had a very interesting discussion.
Otherwise when Open Water came out, I would say that I had been a bit masochistic: I saw the film 2 weeks before going diving in the Bahamas with the center which had participated in the film. I came back from there you see… and whole 😉
