The word lobster comes from the Latin “Locusta” which means grasshopper !!! A sea grasshopper… .We know about forty species in the world. Here on the island of Cozumel, being a marine park, lobsters are protected, and therefore it is common to see them and especially huge ones, you have to see it to believe it !!! They hide most of the time in rocky crevices but we can also come across them on the moving sand.
Lobsters have 5 pairs of legs on the upper part of their body. It is an invertebrate crustacean. They have antennas that they use in another to emit very characteristic noises, by rubbing their base against the shell, it is its defensive weapon. They are also useful for testing the waters before venturing somewhere.
With its thin legs, it is not easy for them to hunt, therefore they attack easy-to-get prey, which do not flee, such as small shells, algae or dead animals.
To grow, lobsters regularly moult: they lose and renew their shell, several times a year when they are juvenile, then generally once a year when they are adults.
Reproduction occurs in May and August. The female lays up to 15,000 eggs which she carries under her abdomen.

But it is true and you are not wrong, GéGé, the guns would be even more effective against this garbage!
