Festisub, the Neuchâtel Underwater Image Festival, today presented its 14e edition at the Neuchâtel Museum of Natural History (NHN) at the press conference of Claire Nouvian's Abyss exhibition. As every year, Festisub invites us to meet exciting guests, internationally renowned, as well as beautiful films and photos whose quality level is the reputation of the festival!
Festisub is preparing to live a new edition which promises with Friday 11 March in the evening an exciting report of 52 minutes entitled "Under the Pole: under the ice of Greenland"; the second part of a scientific adventure to understand the consequences of global warming in the cold seas, to be presented by Emmanuelle Périé Bardout and Ghislain Bardout, members of the expedition.
On Saturday March 12 in the afternoon - part of the festival dedicated particularly to families - Laurent Ballesta, an emblematic personality of the discovery of the seabed and sponsor of Festisub, will share the secrets that the oceans have kindly entrusted to him.
On Saturday evening, after 2 days of meetings, emotions and discoveries, the Festival proposes the broadcast of the highly anticipated, "The mystery grouper" film on the expedition of Laurent Ballesta and his team in Polynesia , which follows the conference on this survey presented last year in Neuchâtel.
In addition to these highlights, the three screenings sessions of the festival will be enriched by many other films, slideshows, presentations, often in the presence of their authors, among which are the Marc Berset (Emotion) and the Vaudois Alexandre Aubert (Le voyage d ' a coral).
The public will also be able to enjoy three exceptional exhibitions in the lobby of the Aula des Jeunes-Rives:
- Domenico Roscigno and his Mediterranean and tropical underwater photos.
- Michel Lonfat and his images brought back from the waterways of Valais.
- And the selection of the best images from the Festisub 2016 photo competition.
The presence of festival partners and representatives of organizations working for the preservation of aquatic environments is also noteworthy.
Through a collaboration with the MHN, Festisub also presents a selection of photos. In addition, a ticket for the festival allows free entry to the Abyss exhibition.
In fresh or salt water, from the tiniest forms of underwater life to the largest living mammals, Festisub offers a wide range of fascinating themes for both adults and children, to discover 11 and 12 March 2016 at Aula of the Young Banks of Neuchâtel.
