He presents 2 exhibitions in which he reveals the beauty of the seabed of the Maldives and Mauritius and you can travel through the eyes of Greg Lecoeur. The first "ocean objective" expo will take place in Paris at Shangi la hotel, from 29 October to 22 November and the second "Ocean Encounters" at Shangri-la hotel, the shard in London from 30 October to 15 November. Highly involved in the preservation of the environment, the Shangri-La group asked Greg Lecoeur, a passionate photographer of marine life, awarded by the National Geographic, to produce a series of underwater photographs in the Group's flagship establishments in the Maldives and Mauritius. With this series of exclusive photographs, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts wishes to inform and inspire visitors about the environmental issue in the Indian Ocean, and how to protect this vital ecosystem.
The SANCTUARY and REEF CARE Projects
Launched in 2010 in a desire for a coordinated effort in terms of biodiversity conservation and habitat protection, SANCTUARY, the Shangri-La Care for Nature project, protects the habitat of local species within many Shangri properties. -The across the world. In this context, the Reef Care project at Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa, Maldives, aims to replant coral fragments in order to regenerate the reefs. More than 2 healthy corals have already been planted, essential elements for underwater biodiversity.

During his journey in the Indian Ocean, Greg Lecoeur also explored the exceptional underwater fauna and flora of Mauritius during his stay at Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa. Located on the most remote bay of Mauritius and with its own private island, the resort offers multiple opportunities to discover nature and underwater life. The waters of Mauritius are home to vibrantly colored tropical fish, sperm whales, dolphins and whale sharks. Surrounded almost entirely by a coral reef, this destination has hundreds of dive sites to explore, as well as wrecks dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The spectacular topography of the seabed is made up of caves, grottoes and grandiose arches which, when light filters through them, offer views of astonishing beauty.
All the photographic prints presented in Paris and London will be available for sale, from 250 € to 850 €, and all the profits will be donated to SANCTUARY.
A taste of the Ocean at the Botanist Bar and the CHI, the Spa, Shangri-La Hotel, Paris
To enrich the experience offered on the aquatic theme, hotels in Paris and London have designed products inspired by the ocean. At the Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, Clément Emery, Head barman of the Botanist Bar, created “Le Nautilus” based on gin infused with maritime mertensia (or “vegetable oyster”), vodka infused with dill, de Noilly Prat and smoked salt.
